Information We Collect

📱 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Scan History: All QR codes and barcodes you scan are stored locally on your device using a local database. This data never leaves your device.
App Preferences: Your settings (dark mode, sound, vibration, etc.) are stored locally on your device.
Generated QR Codes: QR codes you create are processed and stored entirely on your device.

📊 Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App. This service may collect:

App usage data (screens visited, features used)
Device information (model, OS version)
Crash reports and performance data

📢 Advertising Data (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

Camera Access

QBarLens requires camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device and is never transmitted, recorded, or stored beyond the immediate scan operation.

To improve the App through anonymous analytics

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only third-party services integrated are:

Google Firebase Analytics — for anonymous usage analytics
Google AdMob — for serving advertisements

Data Retention

All scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device. You can delete your scan history at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.

Data Security

Your scan data is stored in a local, encrypted database on your device. We do not operate external servers that store your personal data.

QBarLens is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
